Audi introduced the powerful station wagon RS6 AvantAugust 21, 2019
Today, the company has finally unveiled a new version of the high-performance station wagon RS6 Avant under the hood of which there are 591 hp. Prices have not yet been announced.
“The powerful RS6 Avant wagon is one of our popular cars with a large fan community around the world,” said Oliver Hoffmann, Managing Director of Audi Sport.
Based on the current version of the regular A6 station wagon, the more powerful RS6 Avant got a more aggressive appearance. The front of the car is decorated with a curved false radiator grille and two massive air intakes on both sides. The same goes for the rear – dual tailpipes, a mesh diffuser and silver trim help the RS6 Avant stand out from the stream.
Under the hood is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 hybrid that delivers 591 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This makes the RS6 Avant the most powerful iteration of the A6 family to date.
As a transmission, an eight-speed Tiptronic transmission is installed, connected to the Quattro all-wheel drive system. Up to 100 km / h, the RS6 Avant accelerates in 3.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 km / h. If you order an additional “package” Dynamic Package Plus, the speed can be increased to 305 km / h.
For the first time in the RS6 Avant, adaptive air suspension is a standard option. The RS 6 is located 20 mm lower than the traditional A6 Avant station wagon. But at speeds of 120 km / h and higher, ground clearance is reduced by 10 mm.
No pricing information yet. But it is known that in Germany and other parts of Europe, the new version of the high-performance Audi RS 6 Avant will go on sale in the first quarter of 2020.
